IN THE PRESENCE OF ANOTHER WORLD

This is a series I started during the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. 

The entire world as we knew it was brought to its knees.

It felt like time had stopped and warp velocity had begun. What the hell was happening?

Terror, misinformation, confusion, and tragic loss of life on a scale rarely seen even in world wars.

But also a coming together as one people working tirelessly to save humanity and care for one another in ways I will never forget.

Personally shaken to the core, I began to process the crisis through the medium of painting.

A woman materialized on the canvas, and her eyes held the power to condense all of my feelings in her gaze.

The Champagne Angels toast the lives and sacrifices of the departed and those of us lucky enough to survive.
